3. If no reaction to BEEP after 3 attempts: switch to Vibration level 3. Increase by 1 level every 5 seconds until first sign of attention
4. If Vibration insufficient in intense context (running off, other dog, game): switch to Reinforced Vibration level 3-5. This is the most powerful mode — use it only on risky behaviours
5. LED Light mode: activate independently from dusk. No calibration needed — it is a 100% non-corrective mode
6. Note your reference level per mode. In distracting context (park, other dogs), go up by 2-3 levels

Extremely common case — especially in distracting environments (park, walks with nose to the ground). Before raising intensity, check these 4 points in order:

• Is the BEEP associated with something? If you have used it for weeks without consequence or reward, the dog has "filtered" it — you must re-associate: BEEP → command → reward, 10 reps a day for 1 week
• Is the context too stimulating? A beagle 30 m from a game trail literally hears nothing — that is physiology. Work first in calm
• Is the BEEP itself audible? If the controller is more than 1 km away or there is interference (dense urban area), the signal can weaken. Check the 8 BEEP levels — move to level 6-8 if needed
• Should you switch to vibration? If after 1 week of re-association no response — yes, switch to gentle vibration (level 3-5). Tactile is harder to ignore than auditory
